Today, we honor the life of Joseph John Alix—a true neighbor, friend, and community pillar, gone too soon at 51. Joe owned Alix’s True Value in Plattsburgh Plaza for 23 years, always willing to help you fix what was broken, crack a joke, or share a story. He was sharp, witty, a loving dad, a grill master, and an artist with a love for heavy metal music and camping. More than anything, Joe’s heart was huge—his children were his pride, and his kindness reached everyone around him.

In a world that moves fast, let’s slow down and remember what really matters. Joe would tell you: hug your loved ones every chance you get. Here’s to a legacy built on love, laughter, and always showing up for each other.

Let’s make community mean something real—not just when it’s easy or convenient, but every day.

Rest easy, Joe. You’ll be missed, but never forgotten. ❤️
