I am not sure what the critics are upset about but this film was marketed as an avengers style superhero extravaganza and it is not that.
MW is a powers flick but it is more intelligent and subtle than low budget fantasy flicks, and it looks good, the rebellious teens get in trouble but good old fashioned future-telling saves tomorrow
maybe the critic, sure upset that it is not a parrot show of political correctness, feminine superiority, masculine, stupidity, or socialist, daydreams of how everybody can just get along. if we make government God.
I ran at the end instead of watching for post credit scenes, trying to catch a weekend bus BRCATS capriciously canceled, so I do not know if there was any more to the continuation of the series, but I hope there is The cast did well and the effects were canned but excellent use was made of the now commonplace visual wizardry - for the first time in 130 years of filmmaking special effects are now waiting for human imagination in screenwriting to catch up to them.
enjoyable story marked safe from shrill politicizing because when I tell you I was ready to walk out if they tried to woke me up believe it.
