When my son, Ryan, was a senior in college, his girlfriend of 3 weeks told him she was pregnant. I recommended that he take a DNA test. He did, and since it displayed he was the father, he decided to marry her.
His girlfriend, Shelley, got mad at me for asking for the test. She slandered me and I wasn't invited to the wedding... Everyone hated me.

I'm 36, mom to two amazing boys, 6 and 4. For weeks, we planned a special Father’s Day—handmade cards, his favorite breakfast, and tickets to a classic car show he always talks about. I wanted the boys to feel proud, and I hoped Brad would appreciate it.
Instead, he woke up grumpy, ignored the cards and breakfast, and muttered, “Be back in 30, forgot something at the store.”
He was gone for five hours. No call, no text. The kids kept asking about him, and I eventually had to tell them we weren’t going to the car show. They were crushed.
At 7:30 PM, while I helped them brush their teeth, the door burst open. Brad came in with six rowdy friends, sweaty and laughing.
“Hey babe, what’s for dinner?” he joked. “We’re celebrating Father’s Day!”
The kids ran out, confused. One of his buddies patted me on the shoulder like I was staff.
I didn’t yell. I smiled.

I met Matt three years ago. He had twin daughters, Ella and Sophie, who were just five when we met. I’d never been a mom before, but those two won my heart almost instantly. This year, Matt proposed, and we were in the middle of planning our wedding when he suggested a pre-wedding getaway to relax before the chaos.
The first few days were perfect—sunshine, swimming, and real family time. But everything took a shocking turn on the third afternoon.
After a fun morning at the pool, the girls and I returned to our hotel room—only to find Matt’s suitcase and all his belongings completely gone. My heart dropped. Then I noticed a note on the nightstand, written in his handwriting:
“I have to disappear. You’ll understand soon.”
I was stunned. Why would he do this? How could he leave his daughters—and me—without any explanation? I had no idea what to tell the girls or what to do next. Somehow, I kept it together long enough to get us home, though the flight passed in a haze.
But nothing could have prepared me for what came next. When we walked into the house, I screamed.
