Louisville, KY — Join APRON Inc. on Wednesday, October 29 at Hop Atomica Louisville for an unforgettable evening where art, spirits, and community come together.

The October Happy Hour Friend-Raiser will feature Kentucky Reverie: An Intimate Portrait of the Bluegrass State — a stunning new photography exhibition by acclaimed photographer and APRON Board Member Dan Dry.

This special evening merges art, storytelling, and community impact, as Dry’s evocative imagery captures the soul of Kentucky—from its rolling landscapes to the people and traditions that shape it. With a career spanning more than five decades, nearly 50 Kentucky Derbies, assignments for National Geographic, and over 500 photography awards, Dry’s work stands among the most celebrated in the Commonwealth.

“Dan’s photographs remind us why Kentucky feels like home,” said Paul Berrier, Managing Partner at Hop Atomica. “Hosting this show began as a simple idea—to honor an artist who’s spent his life capturing our shared stories—and it’s grown into a meaningful celebration of art and community.”

Alongside the exhibit, Hop Atomica and APRON Inc. will host their October Happy Hour Friend-Raiser. Guests will enjoy a gallery-style showcase of Dry’s award-winning work alongside complimentary tastings of local bourbon, wine, and spirits, light bites, and the always-popular “Spin the Wheel” for prizes, swag, gift cards, and more. A portion of proceeds will benefit APRON Inc., the Louisville nonprofit providing critical financial relief for Louisville-area hospitality workers facing crises.

“APRON Inc. has long stood behind the people who make our city’s restaurants, bars, and cafes thrive,” said Dry. “It’s an honor to combine my love for photography with a cause that means so much to Louisville’s creative and culinary community.”

Louisville, KY – The Taste of Louisville returns Wednesday, October 15, following its milestone 50th celebration — and it’s ready to keep the flavor going for another 50+ years! This beloved event brings together 40+ chefs and 20+ beverage purveyors for a night of tasting, sipping, and celebrating Louisville’s vibrant food and drink scene.

Hosted by the Kentucky Restaurant Association Louisville Chapter, this year’s event is once again proudly presented by Gordon Food Service, our Title Sponsor.

“Gordon Food Service is once again very excited to be the Title Sponsor for The Taste of Louisville because we believe this event is the city’s premier food event,” said Tom Enyeart, Co-Chair and GFS representative. “The Taste not only delivers amazing food—it brings the entertainment to another level. We at Gordon Food Service are energized by partnering with some of the best culinarians and hardest-working people our industry has to offer.”

“The Kentucky Restaurant Association is thrilled to present the 51st Taste of Louisville — the original ‘taste’ event that has become a beloved tradition in our city,” said Christian Saylor, KRA Louisville Chapter President. “This celebration brings together the best of the best, offering guests the unique opportunity to sample signature cuisine from Louisville’s top restaurants. It’s a true showcase of our vibrant culinary scene, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone for an unforgettable evening of flavor and community.”

Since its founding in 1974, The Taste of Louisville has featured a mix of the city’s most iconic eateries and newest culinary stars. This year’s guests will be greeted with a cocktail or mocktail upon arrival and treated to a festive evening featuring a live DJ, music by Hickory Vaught, and photo ops throughout the venue.

And it’s not just about food — The Taste is about giving back. This year’s event benefits Feed Louisville, a local nonprofit that rescues surplus food and transforms it into nutritious, chef-prepared meals for Louisville’s unhoused and food-insecure population.
