The 2026 Dakar Rally was successfully completed by the all-female Gazelles Racing Team, sponsored by Exol Lubricants. Led by Marcella Kirk and Helen Tait-Wright, they were the first all-female team to complete the Dakar Classic in their highly modified 1988 Land Rover Defender 110, which the team nicknamed ‘Purdey’. This eye-catching 1967 Lola T70 MK3 Coupé is currently on display at The Royal Automobile Club. The T70 was one of the greatest sports-racing cars of the 1960s and widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cars of its era.

Driven by Formula One World Champion Denny Hulme, this particular Lola T70 Mk3 Coupé claimed victory at the 1968 Tourist Trophy at Oulton Park, averaging an impressive speed of 99mph. The win marked Hulme’s third Tourist Trophy triumph in just four years.

The car was created out of Lola founder Eric Broadley’s belief that a lightweight British chassis paired with an American V8 engine could take on the world. The V8-cylinder, 4940cc puts out 420bhp and is capable of a top speed in excess of 190mph.

This 1902 Wolseley 10hp Tonneau is currently on display at The Royal Automobile Club and is a true stalwart of the RM Sotheby’s Veteran Car Run. With a cruising speed of just 24mph, the car has made the journey from London to Brighton no less than 55 times and even helped to open the Channel Tunnel back in 1994.

The car was the 53rd car to be road-registered in Wolseley’s home of Birmingham in 1902 and is powered by a two-cylinder, 2615cc engine, giving it 11bhp and a top speed of 30mph. It cost £360 when new.
