T-minus ONE WEEK until Mass Mini Con

Catch us and so many other great artists, galleries, and makers for a weekend of hangs, high fives, humans and human art, physical media, and a host of other things that is sure to bring joy in the big 2-6.

We will also be hosting a mystery movie on Saturday, September 12 at the beautiful Coolidge Corner Theatre. You won’t know what the movie is until the lights go down, and after the film we’ll reveal an amazing new poster that gets to go home wirh you. The poster finished printing this week and is arriving in Boston soon. Are you? Link in bio. Tickets for this one are running low, so don’t miss out.

Mutant, in collaboration with Hollywood Records and 20th Century Studios, is proud to present the premiere physical media release of the original soundtrack to Predator: Badlands, featuring an original score by Sarah Schachner and Benjamin Wallfisch . 

Predator: Badlands continues Dan Trachtenberg revival of the beloved sci-fi series, that started with Prey, and continued last year with the animated anthology Predator: Killer of Killers. Badlands tells the story of a young Yautja warrior named Dek as he seeks the approval of his family by hunting on the most dangerous planet in the universe. Along the way he collides with a synthetic named Thia with family issues of her own. Together with a few other inhabitants on the planet, they find salvation in several amazing glorious battles.

“Dan Trachtenberg’s Predator revival should be the blueprint for how to tell new stories in old universes,” says Mo Shafeek, co-founder of Mutant. “Working with composers Sarah Schachner and Benjamin Wallfisch he finds a duo, not unlike Dek and Thia, who come together to make one of the most compelling scores to an action / adventure film in some time.”

Mutant, in partnership with Milan, are proud to present the soundtrack to The Long Walk

You might expect the score to The Long Walk to be tense and stressful, given its based on a short story by Stephen King and dystopian sci-fi setting. However, Jeremiah Fraites, (co-founder of the indie band The Lumineers,) delivers a somber and assured score that contrasts with the devastating and horrific images on screen.

Unlike traditional horror scores that rely on piercing strings and jump scares, Fraites’ score features truly emotional melodic set pieces that ground the film and provide humanity amidst the grim action (If you don’t fall in love with “Olsen” on your first listen, I’m not sure we can be friends). While rhythmic repetition drives the score, delicate soft melodies own it. It’s a lovely listen that stands on its own merits. We’re incredibly proud to be releasing one of 2025’s most underrated films. Jeremiah is a true talent, and we can’t wait to hear what he has in store next.

Mutant, in partnership with Milan, are proud to present Academy Award® winner Hildur Guðnadóttir’s score to the critically acclaimed 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.

Hildur Guðnadóttir’s score for The Bone Temple is incredibly dark and experimental. It’s oppressive, haunting, and as heavy as any metal you’ve listened to in the past few years. It’s absolutely crushing (and terrifying). Fittingly, she mixes strings, a giant mammoth horn as well flutes and percussion made from real bones to conjure up the dark, forboding tones of pure terror that she delivers in The Bone Temple.

Initial pressing on 140g Torrent Effect vinyl and strictly limited to 500 units worldwide.

Mutant, in partnership with blastingcompany are proud to present a re-issue of the 2019 debut EP from TINY STAR. 

Born from their time composing the incredible soundtrack to the 2014 animated mini-series Over The Garden Wall, The Blasting Company (with Eddika Organista and Harlan Silverman) set out to fully realize the music of one of their many in-universe bands: TINY STAR. The results are a blissful collection of dreamy pop songs, filled with stellar synth and delicate vocals.

Featuring artwork by Patrick McHale (creator) and Levon Jihanian (illustrator) of Over the Garden Wall.

This 2026 re-issue by Mutant is pressed on 140 Gram vinyl and will also be available on The Blasting Company’s forthcoming National Tour.

Mutant is proud to present an all new physical media release of the original soundtrack to the Cartoon Network mini-series Over The Garden Wall. 

Composed and performed by blastingcompany (Brandon Armstrong, Joshua Kaufman, Justin Rubenstein), Over The Garden Wall is a one of a kind experience.

Created by Patrick McHale , it tells the story of two brothers named Wirt and Greg (voiced by Elijah Wood & Collin Dean) on a mysterious Dante-esque journey home through a world known only as “The Unknown”: a place filled with colorful characters and incredible musical interludes, all of which are captured on this comprehensive soundtrack release. Produced by the composers themselves, this album features 32 tracks, a mix of song and score from the mini-series.

Featuring original artwork by Sam Wolfe Connelly , and a booklet featuring lyrics from every song, as well as sheet music, so you can play along!  This release is essential for fans of the show... and that’s a Rock Fact!

This all new 2026 re-issue by Mutant is pressed on an all new webstore exclusive colorway, and also available on CD and Cassette.
