Winter’s favorite — Chicken Shorba Recipe! Perfect blend of spices, flavor, and warmth. 🥣🔥
Ingredients
🔸For Blended Paste:
1 medium Onion, roughly chopped
1 inch Ginger piece
5–6 Garlic cloves
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Black pepper
1 cup Coriander leaves
¼ cup Water (adjust as needed)
🔸For Cooking:
2 tbsp Ghee
1 tsp Urad dal
1 tsp Cumin seeds
3–4 Cloves
2 Cardamoms
A few Curry leaves (chopped)
1 large Onion, sliced
500 g Chicken pieces
Salt, to taste

👩🍳 Method
1️⃣ Make the Green Paste
1. In a blender, add onions,chilli , cumin seeds, black pepper, coriander leaves, and water.
2. Blend to a smooth, thick paste. Set aside.

2️⃣ Prepare the Tempering
1. Heat ghee in a wide pan on medium flame.
2. Add urad dal and roast until light golden.
3. Add cumin seeds, cloves, cardamom, and chopped curry leaves.
4. Sauté until aromatic.
3️⃣ Add Onions
1. Add sliced onions to the pan and add gg paste sauté until they turn golden brown and soft .
4️⃣ Add Chicken and Paste
1. Add chicken pieces to the sautéed onions.
2. Stir for 2–3 minutes until the chicken turns slightly white.
3. Add the blended green paste and salt.
4. Mix well ,add coriander and turmeric powder
5️⃣ Cook
1. Cover and cook on medium heat for 10–12 minutes.
2. Stir occasionally until the chicken is fully cooked and the masala thickens.
3. Adjust salt and consistency if needed.
4. At last squeeze lemon and garnish with fresh coriander leaves
