Yes, innocent, good people died as a result of this accident. Rogel Lazaro Aguilera-Mederos deserves sentencing for this tragedy but not 110 years. Even the families of the victims have called this sentencing harsh. Rapists, murderers, and people who intentionally inflict harm don’t even receive sentences this extreme.

Colorado’s mandatory minimum laws have created unjust sentencing for an accident that this driver tried to prevent. Please sign and share.

Rogel Lazaro has shown remorse from day 1, he repetitively said he wished he had the courage to crash and take his own life that day, this tragic accident wasn’t done with Intent, it wasn't a criminal act, it was an accident.

BURLINGTON, Vt. – Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) Saturday issued the following statement as thousands of John Deere workers went on strike:

“I’m proud to stand in solidarity with the more than 10,000 John Deere workers now on strike who are fighting for decent wages, pensions and retirement health care benefits. At a time when profits at John Deere are skyrocketing, and when the CEO's salary has exploded by 160 percent since the start of the pandemic, the workers there are entitled to be treated with respect and dignity. I applaud the UAW members on strike for their courage and determination, and join them in demanding that the company offer them a contract which is fair."
