CJ reaches 200 appearances for Blackpool

Today's game against Burton Albion marked CJ Hamilton's 200th appreance for the Seasiders!

The Blackpool ace joined the club back in 2020 and soon established himself as a fans favourite.
Speaking about his 200th appreance CJ said the following.

"It’s a proud achievement for me. This club means a lot to me, I’m just disappointed with how the game went. I thought we did well in the first-half, if we’d have taken our chances the game could’ve been different.
“It was one of those days where we got dragged into their game a bit. To play as many games as possible, that’s the aim in football and just keep enjoying it.

“Nowadays people only sign short deals here and there. To be here this long is a good achievement for me.”

Fleetwood Town vs Port Vale âš˝ | Vertu Motors Trophy

Last night, Fleetwood Town faced Port Vale in the final game of the group stage of the Vertu Trophy. The lads came away unbeaten and finished second in the group — only missing out on top spot by goal difference! 🔴⚪

A few players really stood out to the fans — Connor Haughey from the youth team, Lewis McCann, and great to welcome back Ronan Coughlan after a long time out.

Fleetwood went 1-0 up in the 32nd minute with a well-worked set piece — Harrison Neal played it short to Mark Helm on the edge of the box, and he smashed home an amazing goal!

Port Vale came out strong after the break and equalised in the 53rd minute through Jordan Shipley, then Dajaune Brown added another in the 56th with a brilliant close-range volley.

But Fleetwood didn’t give up — they kept fighting. Zech Medley made it 2-2 with a great strike under the keeper’s arm in the 70th minute, and then again in the 83rd minute, he found the net to put Fleetwood ahead 3-2!

Vale equalised late on through Connor Hall in the 88th minute to make it 3-3, sending it to penalties — but Fleetwood held their nerve and won 4-2 on pens!

Unbeaten in the group, great performances all around, and loads of positives to take from the game. 👏

And a massive shoutout to the 18 loyal fans who made the trip on a wet and windy night — your support means a lot to everyone at Fleetwood Town! ❤️💪
