Photography can be a time machine that brings back the feelings your brain might not remember. Capturing those moments can bring back the warmth of a summer day. The taste of fresh tzatziki. Everyone talking a little too loud 😄

While I shift to my next chapter in photography, I’ll be sharing some photos from my personal life that feel impactful. I love these shots representing my culture and how I grew up. Something so peaceful about lighting a candle in the church 🕯️

Normalize posting cute pics that are real 🎀

A celebrity I don’t even know why is in my algorithm is posting repeated “photos” of her in different locations. Her skin looks perfectly airbrushed and her hair, like some removable helmet of perfection.

What I love about photography is capturing a moment in time. A vibe. How my wrinkles are forming. How that car feels on a cool December night. All that red ❣️

Don’t get me wrong— I think ai can be fun for people and spark ideas, but reality is so much better 😀

I was just trying to replace some shoes 😂

This was actually my bad because I selected the entire person to change their shoes, but the results were still wild.

I know there are strong opinions about ai. I limit the amount I let into my work. I did end up being able to replace the shoes in a way that I would have really struggled to otherwise. Especially at the angle he’s standing!

Evolving 🧊

I’m moving into a more creative space. I want my photography to stand out and tell stories.

I could not stop thinking about glitter tears during this holiday season. Like many, holiday traditions evolved based on our lives and the people in it.

I miss my yaya so deeply during the holidays. We grew up having Christmas Eve at her house. It was warm and rich in love. We sat in her fancy dining room and ate with yaya at the head of the table, telling jokes. We drank coke out of fancy wine glasses. We sat by the fire and exchanged gifts and looked through our stocking full of thought gifts. But nothing was better, happier, warmer than a hug from my yaya who I eventually grew taller than and could wrap her up with her head on my shoulder.

To me, that love is really what Christmas is about. So for years, I struggled without that warmth during the holidays. I know so many of us are missing our loved ones. The holidays aren’t always as sparkly and exciting as the media portrays it and I thought about doing a shoot reflecting that contrast.

I am so excited to announce a shift in my brand 🧨

I am now focusing heavily on editorial photography. But in a big, bold, creative way.

Editorial photography is storytelling through images—artistic, styled, and expressive photos that look like they belong in a magazine. It focuses on mood, creativity, and visual narrative rather than traditional posed portraits. These are some examples of photos I like with that vibe. There are more creative examples on my feed, so this probably comes as no surprise. Remember when I rubbed Cheetos all over my face?

I will be exploring editing on a deeper level to create more fun, funky pieces of art. I have a firm grasp on photoshop now, but want to dive deeper. I have a list of ideas already and I am so excited to create.

I picture dramatic lighting, unique concepts, and cool thrifted and handmade props. I have old tvs. A fridge from the 50s. A car from the 70s. My mind is full of things I want to paper mache for props 😵‍💫

I am leveling up to a more creative, expressive niche and it’s very meant to be.

I am excited to be cozy, creating this winter. I want to paper mache props and paint them all cute— I’m so excited! I want to battle ai with our ART.
