Everyday I see parents worrying about test scores and reading levels and mathematics proficiencies and worrying if their child is behind.

I'm being reminded with my own children that kids don't grow faster when you squeeze them harder.

They grow and learn faster when they feel safe and secure and when they feel like that they have permission to be a kid.

They still need to play around, they still need to goof off, and yes they still need to make their own mistakes and learn from them as well

If you really want your kids to succeed at the school and sports and everything else they do, let them be a kid first.. the rest will follow

You know why kids always blame everything but themselves for their problems? Because they've seen adults do it first.

Instead of whining and blaming other people for your problems, how about let's use the energy to look for solutions.

So we can learn to fix our own problems so that one day our kids can learn to fix theirs

The amount of self-control that it took me to stay calm during this interaction.......

Parents, we need to be more self aware. We need to be capable of putting our feet down and setting some boundaries.

Your kids life literally depends on it.

I really don't think we should be taking kids as recess away as a form of punishment.

Most of these kids who are getting their recess is taken away are the kids who need to spend the most energy.

Taking away their recess is just going to make time in class so much more difficult.

There are plenty of other ways to keep them accountable for their actions without taking away recess.

Kids need to move. They need to get energy out. That recess time is imperative and important. Which is why in several States like California it's illegal to take away recess totally.

I die inside a little bit whenever I see teachers taking away recess. Because I know they are making their lives just that much harder.

I love and support teachers and always will. But I will not support a child's recess being taken away.

We need to stop trying to raise unbreakable kids.

You aren't weak. You are human. It's ok to ask for help. You are needed. The world needs you.

If you have a good man in your life, let him know he's appreciated. Let him know he's loved. It could literally be life saving.

We need to continue to talk about men's mental health.

Men still make up 75% of all deaths by su***de.

Men are still 3x more likely to hurt themselves than women.

There's still a massive stigma around men and their mental health.

Please, if you're struggling reach out to somebody.

And if you have good men in your life please check in on them.

Let them know that they're not alone

Let them know they can talk to you.

You never know who might need it

Big Tech is not just fighting for our kids attention. It's trying to steal their affection.

And we are not helping! When we swoop in and solve our kids problems for them instead of forcing them to communicate and problem solve on their own at first.

They need to learn to speak for themselves, they need to learn how to talk to other people, and they need to learn how to problem solve.

Right now we have a new generation of adults who are more affectionate towards technology than they are towards other people.

It's time to flip that tide and turn humanity towards humans again.
