Another one on my ‘Aruba must visits’ list 🇦🇼
has been on the island for a bit over 2 years now and this past year was my first time there. I didn’t know what to expect and I wasn’t planning on taking any content tbh (we went on Easter Sunday and I was trying to enjoy family time) but then it became one of the BEST meals of the trip, I had to snap some quick pics that honestly do no justice but still wanted to share on the list now for anyone with a trip coming up cuz it is a MUSTTT!!
Different than anything else I’ve had on the island; Azar fuses ancestral open fire cooking with contemporary gastronomic techniques. Using their firewood ovens and grills every dish is transformed into a true masterpiece ✨
& they not only have espresso martinis but carajillo’s as well! 😍 ☕️ 🫘
Food Deets📋:
🥩 Picanha Tartare $21: Picanha, onions, pickles, mustard, potato chips (one of the best I’ve had!)
🍖Short Rib $52: Braised Black Angus, Korean BBQ, bok choy, peanuts, sweet potato purée
🐟 Chilean Sea Bass $49: Ají amarillo beurre blanc, spinach, potato
🍍Pineapple Sago $13: Grilled pineapple with spices, vanilla tapioca, meringue, passion fruit (LIKE NOTHING IVE HAD BEFORE 🤤)
🥥 Coconut Crème Caramel $13: Vanilla ice cream, cocada crumble
🍫 Churros $13: Dulce de leche/chocolate dip
🍮 Azar Crème Brûlée $13: Purple corn pudding, blueberries, crème custard
MUST ORDERS that are not pictured:
🐙 Octopus Bravo $22: Potato foam, chorizo salt, red bell pepper chimichurri, aioli
🥕 Harissa Honey Carrots $15: Roasted on kopa oven, Labneh, sumac, cilantro
🥗 Blue Cheese Salad $17: Local Boston lettuce, blue cheese cream, grilled pears, pecans
The one thing I could have skipped was the sea bass, but only because everything else completely blew me away that much! Seriously ALL MUST ORDERS!
📹 Next year they’ll definitely be a full feel!🔥
