As our families grow and our children begin raising children of their own, life seems to move faster than ever. Careers, school activities, and the everyday demands of life can easily keep us apart. That's why it's so important to make time for one another whenever the opportunity presents itself. Family gatherings are more than just meals and celebrations—they are moments when memories are created, stories are shared, and traditions are passed from one generation to the next.

This past weekend our great niece celebrated her third birthday, and our family had a celebration of not ONLY HER birthday, but of our family as a whole.

It was inspiring to hear the laughter of grandparents, see the curiosity of young children, and the conversations between siblings and cousins that help strengthen the bonds that hold a family together. These moments remind us where we came from and give our children a sense of belonging and connection that can't be found anywhere else.

Years from now, it won't be the busy schedules or the long workdays that we remember most. It will be the birthdays, holidays, reunions, and simple afternoons spent together.

A week after my father went to his permanent home, I had to speak at a "father-son" breakfast in our local community. I got there and didn't know what I was going to say. With everything that had happened the week prior, I didn't have the chance to prepare.

But, I asked God to use me as his vessel, and he spoke through me to get a message to the fathers, older brothers, uncles, grandfathers there.

I remember I said, "If I had a calendar and a calculator, I couldn't tell you how many years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds my dad was there with me...But, I remember that he taught me how to throw a curve ball, when I wanted to play football one year and my mom said, NO! You'll hurt yourself...My dad hid my pads and helmet in the truck of his car so she wouldn't get upset, and when I pitched in Little League, I could hear him in the stands shouting, THAT'S MY BOY!" So, I say that to say to you gentlemen, give these kids those SPECIAL MOMENTS that they will carry with them forever. Those special moments will carry them through the tough times when you're not there."

I STILL do that to this day...Father's Day, Christmas, His birthday.

Time with family is one of life's greatest gifts. Whenever we have the chance to gather, we should embrace it, because those moments become the memories we treasure forever.

Today is June 6th. When the United States, British and Canadian troops executed the single largest amphibious invasion in military history…150,000 troops stormed the beaches at Normandy and led the way for the defeat of N**i Germany.

Let’s remember and honor those heroes who kept our country and likely much of the world safe and free.

Thank you for your service.
God bless.

This week Z88.3 is broadcasting live from Universal Orlando Resort at a Christian Radio Convention where we’ve gathered with Christian broadcasters from all over North America.

So I thought I’d share with you a “behind the scenes sneak peek” at our broadcast facilities.

Keep in mind that this is a “mobile setup” that was temporarily put together this past weekend by our amazing engineers for us to use for four days.

And I have to that though I’ve worked in New York, Washington D.C., Houston, Miami, Phoenix, Tampa and other big cities, I’ve NEVER seen a more impressive remote broadcast set up as this ANYWHERE.

We even have a CCTV set up for video!

Thanks to the guys who put it together and keep us sounding as good as any other radio station in America!

Having been a Marine, I always tend to post this every year for those who don’t really understand the difference between Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day.

When people say to me, “Happy Memorial Day,” I know they mean well. But it’s really not a “happy” day, and that is the very reason why I always post this on my social media each year…in order to educate folks that have never learned that these two very important days exist for totally different reasons.

Since the holiday is coming up, let me explain the difference between the two.

Many people confuse Memorial Day and Veterans Day, but they honor two very different groups of heroes.

Memorial Day is for the men and women who never made it home. It’s a day to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Behind every fallen soldier is a family who carries that loss every single day. Memorial Day is about sacrifice, remembrance, and gratitude.

Veterans Day, on the other hand, honors everyone who served in the military and returned home — those who stood ready to defend our nation during times of war and peace. It’s a day to thank living veterans for their service and commitment.

One day remembers those who went home to Our Father.
The other honors all who served.

Both matter deeply.

So while Memorial Day often includes cookouts, beach trips, and sales, it’s also important to pause for a moment and remember the true reason for the day: freedom has a cost, and many paid it in full.

May we never forget those heroes and the families they left behind.

Rest In Eternal Paradise with Our Father.

Here is now Chatgpt sees me as a sketch.

Kinda scary that "it" has so much information that it can create a profile of me without me even giving it all the data.

Is it me, or do I look like a fat little baby in some of these sketches?

It's ok...it's just for fun.

This Memorial Day morning, I stopped at the Oviedo Cemetery on the way in to the station, where there is a beautiful memorial to the fallen soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for us to live in freedom. (Check it out if you have a chance.)

I went early because I wanted to be there alone with my thoughts. It was quiet. I was the only one there. So, I stood there staring, thinking and thankful in thought.

I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1979 during the Iran hostage crisis and was convinced that I’d probably see action if we were to aggressively pursue getting back our 66 American brothers and sisters.

In fact, several times our Drill Instructors came in during boot camp and told us, “PACK YOUR STUFF! WE’RE GOING TO IRAN!”

We were ready, though scared in the moment with so many thoughts running through our heads, but ready nevertheless.

I’m so grateful to live in the greatest country on earth that my heart is full of love for this nation and what it’s given me.

As I stood there, I read some of the signs and saw so many faces of Floridians who went to their permanent home and not their Florida home. For us to be free.

So, today is a day of paying respect to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Praying for the families of those who we lost. Amen.

God bless them. God bless America.
