And the award for Best VFX at Birmingham Horror Film Festival goes to SNARE! Big congratulations to our VFX Artists Benedict Jewer, Simon Edwards, Haixin Dang and Antonio Pavlov!
If you have already seen the film, you will recognise this beautiful deer. What you may not know is the process behind creating this creature, achieved by the wonderful Benedict Jewer! See here a breakdown of some of the fantastic VFX work that has gone into the film.
He tells us a bit about the challenges of achieving such shots: “The hardest part of any VFX shot is making sure that the CG elements feel integrated into the scene, through lighting, compositing, and interaction with the environment. We spent a lot of time finessing the deer as it was an integral part of the story and needed to be believable when seen alongside the actors.”
