Is there even such a thing as too bright for a kid? Live boldly, people ✌️

not exactly the cool factor I was going for

Doing my best here, okay? 🫠

On a mission to make every room in our house have an interesting ceiling 🫡

Look, I like to poke fun at some of the stuff I find unusual in the UK 🤷 but that pi**es some people off so here’s a video to satisfy the moaners lol

Ngl, I was a little nervous when we had just the light green and pink painted. It was looking like a kids room 😂

Thankfully the darker green balanced it out, and now I’m totally in love ❤️

Costs for part 4:
Paint brush - £5
Paint - £117 for 3 colours
Primer - £27
Large paint roller and tray - £9
Paint roller extender - £10
Tape - £5
Coving - £150 from
Coving installation - £90

Above total: £413
Total for part 1, 2, 3, & 4: £1,243

Note: We were gifted the paint for this room makeover, so that didn’t add to our personal costs. We also had most of the supplies needed for this makeover already, so we didn’t have to buy everything specifically for this project. But I want to give everyone a clear picture of what room makeovers can cost from start to finish if you don’t have the supplies already!

What are your thoughts on home and DIY channels bringing in professionals? While I love when people take initiative and learn how to do new things themselves, I definitely want certain jobs done by someone experienced.

I’m confident we could have replastered the ceilings if we’d tried. But I’m also positive it wouldn’t look as good, would come with an increased risk of not adhering properly, and would have needed A LOT of filling and sanding. So we went with a pro 🤷

Costs for part 3:
Paint stripper - £15
Paint brush - £5
Heat gun kit - £26
Electric sander - £50
Plasterer - £450

Decorator’s caulk - £2
Large paint roller and tray - £9
Paint roller extender - £10

Above total: £595
Total for part 1, 2, & 3: £854

Again, we had most of the supplies needed for this makeover already, so we didn’t have to buy everything specifically for this project. But I want to give everyone a clear picture of what room makeovers can cost from start to finish if you don’t have the supplies already!
