"Identifying facility design flaws early and correcting them prevents years of unnecessary labor and frustration."

Persistent inefficiencies, such as misaligned gates or poor boar flow, compound over time and cost thousands in labor hours. Taking time to assess and implement solutions early on pays off in both productivity and employee morale. Facilities should prioritize proactive problem-solving as part of their standard operating procedures.

Learn how Dr. Reicks approaches facility optimization on The Swine it Podcast Show.

“The advantage of the gut health markers is that they help understand what’s happening inside the animal at a given point in time.”

Gut health biomarkers provide an internal snapshot of the physiological state of swine in response to feed strategies or environmental changes. Unlike historical KPIs, these markers enable timely interventions, reducing reactive management.
