What began in 2019 as a simple idea - to shine a light on all the good happening in Charlotte - has grown into a platform for more than 100 local nonprofits to share their stories.

From walking with families through cancer to helping kids thrive, to arts and affordable housing initiatives, these episodes have shown us that the real magic is in how all these efforts connect to create a stronger, more compassionate Charlotte. 💜

In this milestone episode, host Pamela Escobar, producer Brian Baltosiewich, SHARE Charlotte ED Melissa Hovey, and Board Member April Whitlock reflect on that collective impact... and what’s next.

Today we hit “publish” on our 5000th episode.🎉

It hardly seems possible because it still feels like only yesterday we launched with five podcasts and a very loose concept of a network.

Flash forward seven years (!) and here we are.  One heck of a milestone.🙌🏻

A milestone that wouldn’t be possible without dozens of podcasters who think differently than most, who recognize the power of “local” and embrace it.

A milestone that wouldn’t be possible without you… the listener who loves your city and wants to learn more about it and wants to keep up with what’s happening around you, whether it’s news, entertainment, sports, comedy, you name it. Your home matters to you and we love you for it.🙂

A milestone that wouldn’t be possible without our partners and sponsors, who have kept us upright through (full disclosure) some days when we didn’t think we’d make it this long.  This had never been done before, there was no roadmap, no best practices, no one to emulate. We were making it up as we went along (and still are.)

We’ll have a full celebration of 5000 in March, when we can adequately thank everyone involved, but we wanted to let you know that it happened today.
Want to know more? Subscribe to our email newsletter, we’ll let you know about fresh episodes every week, and you’ll be entered in a drawing in March with some cool prizes thanks to some cool partners. More to come in March.
In the meantime, 5000 episodes.  We’ll take a breath and hit “publish” on 5001 tomorrow.🎧

Thanks, Charlotte, for listening to your city.

They shared how and are working together to create better health outcomes and experiences for patients - especially those who live outside of Charlotte.

If you’ve been anywhere near Charlotte lately, you’ve likely felt the collective ache for our neighbors in western North Carolina. Hurricane Helene has left a path of devastation through our beloved mountain towns—places that for many of us are more than just dots on a map. They’re where we’re from, where we went to college, got married, or escaped for weekend getaways.

As a state, we’re coming together to help our neighbors rebuild. The road to recovery is long, but every act of kindness, no matter how small, makes a difference.

Do Good CLT is partnering with SHARE Charlotte to highlight three organizations making a unique impact in the recovery effort – and to show you how you can pitch in.

You can read the full blog at queencitypodcastnetwork.com, or listen to the podcast episode wherever you love to listen to podcasts!🎧

Posted • In the wake of Hurricane Helene, there are so many ways we can all pitch in to support North Carolina and its surrounding area’s recovery efforts! 🌊❤️

Our partners at the the Catawba Riverkeeper have compiled a list of resources to make it easier for you to get involved:

1️⃣ DONATE FUNDS at nc.gov/donate 💸

2️⃣ DONATE SUPPLIES through Operation Airdrop, with essentials like water, non-perishable goods, and hygiene items 🚚

3️⃣ PROVIDE TEMPORARY HOUSING for those displaced from their homes 🏠

4️⃣ AVOID impacted areas and stay away from flood waters for your safety in the safety of others 🚫

Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Let’s come together and help our community rebuild! 💪🏽❤️

Posted • Since 2016, our Goodie Awards have been an annual way to recognize outstanding accomplishments by our nonprofit partners.

With more than 740 local nonprofit partners, selecting the winners each year has become increasingly challenging.

This year, we took a slightly different approach and asked our nonprofit partners to nominate their peers for awards. We were floored at the response!

Please join SHARE Charlotte in congratulating this year’s awardees:
