Coming to blu ray from Warner Archive Collection Janurary 27th.

As you may know by now Netflix is in talks to buy Warner Bros. As we don’t yet know what this will do for the entertainment industry. Just know Netflix doesn’t like to release physical media. So there’s a chance that blu rays and dvds of tv shows and movies may stop being produced. This could also mean layoffs and departments  bejng closed. Right now there is no word on what’s going to happen. We don’t know if the deal will be finalized. We also don’k know what will happen to The Warner Archive Collection?

If the deal gos thru Netflix will own, Harry Potter DC comics (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Justice league), Loony Toons, The Wizard Of Oz, Gone With The Wind, The Matrix, The Gonnies and all of Hanna Barrera.

So for the time being please buy all Hannah Barbera releases that are out or soon to release.

Who remembers the short lived series Where’s Huddles? It was another attempt at a primetime sires from Hannah Barbera. The show only lasted one season.

I wanna take the time to let you all know. Facebook is cracking down on what they call fake accounts. Accounts they deem to be fake or impersonating a celebrity or brand. I had another page I run shut down because they deemed it to be fake impersonation of a celebrity. Even thought I had said many many times it was a fan page with no ties to the celebrity or brand.

With that being said I’m hoping this page doesn’t get suspended. I have clearly started many times that this is a fan account with no ties to Hanna Barbera or Warner Bros. Im simply a fan posting about these wonderful cartoons. For now we are here and still up and running on Facebook. Thank you all who follow this page and are fans of these wonderful cartoons.

Turner Classic Movies is celebrating Hanna-Barbera!

For two consecutive Wednesday nights, TCM’s Jacqueline Stewart and I will present three Hanna-Barbera films. All six films are TCM premieres:

Wednesday, December 3
8:00 pm ET / 5:00 pm PT: HEY THERE, IT’S YOGI BEAR (1964)
9:45 pm ET / 6:45 pm PT: THE MAN CALLED FLINTSTONE (1966)
11:15 pm ET / 8:15 pm PT: A CHRISTMAS STORY (Animated TV Special, 1972)
Three MGM musical classics are next, with live-action/animation sequences by Bill Hanna, Joe Barbera, and their team, starting with Ben Mankiewicz presenting ANCHORS AWAY (1945), followed by DANGEROUS WHEN WET (1953) and the Fantasia-like INVITATION TO THE DANCE (1956).
