I selected the above photo because it's one of the first official shots I saw of Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle/Punisher.

You look into those eyes, and you see somebody that has experienced loss, and wants revenge. For me, he is the definitive Punisher and one of the best comic book castings in the last 20 years. Up there with Chris Evans' Cap, and RDJ's Iron Man. He fits the role like a glove.

More intriguingly, Bernthal feels a deep connection with Frank Castle and has implied in the past that he is fiercely protective of the character, so I'm unsure if he would take on the character if the series is going to be family orientated.

What do you think of this news? Excited? Incidentally, do yourselves a favour and buy Frank Miller's Born Again. Thank me later.

Steven Yeun is a brilliant actor. Perhaps an actor that goes under the radar, but he's always so dependable. You know exactly what you're going to get from a Yeun performance. And that's something truly authentic.

I've been wracking my brains trying to think of who he might be playing. If it’s integral to the future of the MCU, maybe he’s a mutant. Any ideas?

Oh, this is very cool news. I thoroughly enjoyed the two IT chapters - I thought Andy Muschietti did a fine job. The first was better than the second chapter but both were far superior to the mini-series.

Nonsense.

Do you honestly think Marvel Studios would have killed off arguably its most prized asset if they didn't have any plans for him in the future?

They would have killed him off knowing full well they had a device to bring him back around the corner - i.e the multiverse.

Disney is losing billions of dollars, and millions of subscribers, I assure you it's not a case of "if" it's a case of "when".

My question to you, is, when? I'll go for Secret Wars.

This information has seemingly flown under the radar, and perhaps it is not deemed 'newsworthy' as such, but I wanted to share it because it just illustrates what a soap opera Hollywood is.

James Gunn had begun writing a new Superman movie, presumably without Henry Cavill in mind, when The Rock and Henry Cavill were publicising his return to the DCEU.

I think I understand now what Gunn meant when he said Cavill was "dicked around" by former DC execs.

Incidentally, news is circulating online that Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom had a test screening and people walked out. Apparently, the movie is not in a good way.

I've read online he may turn up in Deadpool 3, and he most certainly will show up in Secret Wars, too.

Incidentally, did you read Kevin Feige's comments about TV shows yesterday? Feige said there will be fewer MCU TV shows and they'll be released further apart. They'll also be episodic, rather than seeming like a big movie divided into 6.

I think that's the right approach. That air of anticipation has certainly been lost with the MCU since Disney+. I think I'm more excited about the future of the DCU right now.

Now he looks like a guy who wants to go nuts.

Just looking at this picture makes me excited. Michael Keaton was such a perfect Bruce Wayne. He had this wonderful duality to him. Yes, he could do the charming multi-billionaire facade, but you could tell there was something else bubbling beneath the surface.

There it is. Grace Randolph lied. Again. Of course, that doesn't matter to Randolph because her lie achieved exactly what it set out to do... trend.

Randolph feels that her lies are more valuable to her social media presence than her integrity. From a financial perspective - she's probably right, too.

The number of people that unsubscribe or unfollow her because of her lying is negligible. While the awareness of her name and her YouTube because of her 'scoops' will be in the tens of thousands.

Anyway, yesterday was the first and last time I post something that came from her. She's an awful movie pundit, and lies through her teeth. Why people waste their precious time watching her I don't know.

Do you know who is a formiddable movie pundit? Not only has skin in the game, seems geniune, a full-blown geek, articulate, and actually knows what he's talking about? Robert Meyer Burnett.

Final thing, I'm sure Clooney and Keaton DO feature in The Flash, though. I mean, that's been obvious for a while.

Disclaimer: This has been reported by Grace Randolph so please take it with a grain of salt. However, it trended last night, and it's a good talking point so I thought I would share.

Randolph posted it along with a picture of three previous Batman's - Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Christian Bale. She also tweeted that it was "one of the three" pictured above, but she didn't want to share who it was because revealing it would be "uncool".

Thanks for not being "uncool", Grace, but you literally posted a photo of an actor who has difficulty speaking, an actor in his sixties (Damian Wayne is around ten), and Christian Bale. So, it's Christian Bale.

Do I think they're looking for a brand-new Batman? Yes. Is the news plausible? I guess it is. I think Bale would return with Nolan's blessing. I seem to remember an article stating that co-CEO Peter Safran had lunch with Christopher Nolan at the end of last year - so, maybe.

Some might find it cliche, perhaps a little saccharine, but regardless of how you feel about it, you have to appreciate its damn good writing.

There is zero doubt that Chadwick Boseman left an indelible mark as Black Panther. However, as a movie, I preferred Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to its predecessor.

Why? I thought every single performance in Wakanda Forever was outstanding. Everyone brought their 'A' game. I think it's a top-tier MCU movie.

I know I'm in the minority here, but how do you rank them?

To clarify, the book cover was not displayed like the above image - it was just in small text on the news ticker with no other reference made to it.

Regarding Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania - I'm reading mixed reactions. I'm intrigued by it. Jonathan Majors is the real deal so keen to see this version of Kang.

There were a lot of very cool announcements made today. It's an exciting time to be a DC fan. However, what I found the most intriguing was the stance James Gunn and Peter Safran took to Zachary Levi's and Ezra Miller's current predicament.

In short, the door has been left open for both actors to return.

You know what? It's refreshing. Two Hollywood studio heads that are acting like grown ups. No judgement, no immediate "cancellation" of careers, and more importantly welcoming recovery and redemption.

These two guys are not going to be bullied into anything. Wonderful.

Btw, I heard rumours surface online that The Flash was the best DC movie since The Dark Knight months ago. That has been said a lot over the years, but Gunn's recent comments are starting to make me wonder.
