Enjoy an evening of live Stand-up Comedy with 2 of San Francisco's most brilliant comics, Will Durst and Johnny Steele. The NY Times calls 5 time Emmy nominee Durst, "The best political satirist in the country," and the SF Chronicle describes Steele as "a tidal wave of hilarious and incisive social commentary." Collectively, they've appeared on Letterman, HBO, Showtime and every possible brick wall comedy show in the world. Both are subjects of the new feature film, "3 Still Standing." Durst and Steele will be appearing for one night to benefit St. Theresa school, Oakland. The evening will be hosted by Brian Leonard.

Friday, January 16th in the Ballroom of the Berkeley Tennis Club, 1 Tunnel Road, Berkeley. Each ticket includes 2 free drinks. Doors open at 7PM, show starts at 8:00.

Shooting last week and this with Robin Mortarotti for Children's Hospital for their FACES program. 30 high school kids immersed in all things medical. I saw my first human cadaver. I love the smell of formaldehyde in the morning.

I got to work with of my favorite comic actors this week, MIchael Sommers and Deb Fink. It's always a treat when you have an idea that something may sound funny but then when you hear it spoken it comes across even better than you imagined. Either Michael and Deb are really, really good. Or I don't have much of an imagination.

I was very sad to read the obituary of the Flip in today's NY Times. Then I realized it was the Flip camera and not the Flip Wilson. Regardless, neither has been a hit in quite a while. Ahhh, Flip(s) - we'll miss you.
