My beloved sons and daughters of Ogbomosoland and friends of progress,
Education has always been the heartbeat of every thriving society. No community can rise beyond the knowledge and capacity of its people. It is on this conviction that I stand before you with great joy to invite you to the First-ever Education Summit of Ogbomosoland, taking place on September 9, 2025, at The Great Hall, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso.
The theme, “Community Partnership in Education in Ogbomosoland,” is more than a phrase—it is a clarion call. For too long, we have looked to government alone to shoulder the burden of education. Today, we realize that true transformation can spring from within our community if we all come together—traditional institutions, political leaders, educators, parents, the private sector, and our vibrant youth—uniting as one family to secure the future of our children.
This summit is envisioned as the beginning of a movement. Together, we can:
- Strengthen collaboration between schools, homes, and community leaders.
- Build stronger educational infrastructure across our five local government areas.
- Equip our children with 21st-century skills—science, technology, creativity, and moral values.
- Establish policies and frameworks that will serve generations to come.
For me, this summit is deeply personal. As custodian of our heritage, I carry in my heart a 25-year vision for education in Ogbomosoland—a vision where:
- No child is left behind, regardless of background.
- Our schools are equipped with modern facilities and digital resources.
- Teachers are respected, trained, and empowered to raise global leaders.
- Ogbomoso emerges as an educational hub, producing thinkers, innovators, and problem-solvers who will shape Nigeria and the world.
I believe in the strength of our people. I believe that if we rise together, we can make Ogbomosoland a model city where education is not a privilege but a right—and more importantly, a legacy.
So, I extend this invitation to you—teachers, students, policymakers, professionals, political leaders, parents, NGOs, and every son and daughter of Ogbomoso. Come, let us sit together, dream together, and build together.
The future of Ogbomosoland is in our hands. Let us write a new chapter of progress, knowledge, and transformation.
