The Cape Wrath Trail

Britain’s toughest long distance trail completed! ✅

Today marks my dad’s 10th year anniversary since he passed from cancer. I felt the need to honour him and his memory by completing the trail and fundraise for (Cancer Research UK).

After 12 days of continuous hiking through Scotlands most remote and challenging terrain, I arrived at the most north-westernmost of Scotland known as the Cape Wrath.

Hiking through intense heat, battling midges, pushing through the pain of covering an average of 35-40km with a 25kg rucksack over a total elevation of over 13,000m.

I met some incredible people along the way and made lasting memories.

I really miss my dad and will never forget the times we had.

I will be posting more of the journey in the coming weeks and will keep the fundraising page running on the bio.

“Keep your head up, keep your heart strong”.

On 15th June 2017, I completed the Cape Wrath Trail—often described as Britain’s toughest and most remote unofficial long-distance trail.

I covered 370km from Fort William to Cape Wrath Lighthouse over 15 days, with a total elevation gain of 13,000m.

It was one of the hardest challenges I’ve ever embarked on, filled with both incredible highs and difficult lows.

This month marks the 10th anniversary of my dad’s passing from cancer, and I’ve decided to take on the gruelling trail once again—this time to raise funds for Cancer Research UK ().

I still have a few weeks to prepare and plan to set off on 16th August. I’ve set up a JustGiving page (link in bio), and I’ll truly appreciate even the smallest donation.

Losing someone you love is one of the hardest parts of life—and watching them, and everyone around them, go through so much pain is something you never forget.

One of the songs I remember listening to when my dad passed was Keep Your Head Up by Ben Howard.

“Keep your head up, keep your heart strong.”

Despite all the differences and conflict we see in the world, this one horrible disease has a way of bringing us together—to care, to understand, to comfort, and to fight it side by side.
