Austin Reaves says he wants to be a Laker for life 💜💛

“I think the sky’s the limit for us. We’re moving in the right direction. Obviously, adding Luka, it gives you a hall of fame player such a young age that you can build around, and then obviously, still having Bron, the IQ, and still running around at forty years old, but I want to be in LA. I want to play my whole career in LA. I love it there.

“I love the fans. Love the weather, love the golf. And obviously the Lakers is the best organization in basketball.”

🔸️ Rui, Knecht, Gabe, Kleber are their four most tradeable players. Could likely move three of them, at the least.

🔸️ The cards align easier on a potential Claxton trade, and that is their bet on a potential trade.

🔸️ Capela is heavily in the mix for a signing.

🔸 ️Kessler, Duren, Okangwo are in the mix, but likely not realistic options because LA either doesn’t have the assets or teams won’t trade them.

🔸 ️Might end up being three team deals to get a player, if needed.

🔸️ Dalton’s value has taken hit compared to the trade deadline where he had a good stretch, where Jovan heard he could’ve been worth 2 firsts. His value is hard to gauge - could be a first, but not a “good” first.

🔸️ “Austin is not untouchable.”

🔸️ Lakers are super concerned about injury concerns, which is why they didn’t draft Whitmore - LA could see as a red flag.

🔸️ Vanderbilt’s contract is one of the more negative assets out there. Teams like the Nets likely wouldn’t be interested in taking Vanderbilt, without compensation.

🔸️ Kessler might not be enough to get back in an Austin Reaves trade in the Lakers’ eyes.

🔸️ Irwin said he was mentioned to him is the name John Collins from Utah as someone that could get traded this off season.

🔸️ A significant trade where the Lakers go high in the draft is unlikely. They could buy a higher second round pick if someone falls that they like.
