But this theory suggests Tony’s influence may not have ended when he died.

The biggest assumption is that Tony Stark somehow saw future Incursions while holding all six Infinity Stones. Avengers: Endgame never directly shows Tony receiving a vision, searching alternate realities, contacting Victor von Doom, or intentionally changing someone else’s future.

There is also a much simpler explanation for Tony’s condition before the snap.

The moment the Infinity Stones entered his Mark 85 armor, their enormous energy began destroying his body. We saw something similar when Bruce Banner wore the Nano Gauntlet, so Tony taking continuous damage does not automatically mean he was already accessing the Stones to search through possible futures.

Still, there are several details that make the theory interesting.

The Infinity Stones have repeatedly behaved according to unusual rules. Tony was one of the MCU’s greatest contingency planners. Marvel never explained his complete mental intention during the final snap. And Doctor Doom’s possible connection to Incursions creates an intriguing way to connect Endgame directly with Avengers: Doomsday.

There is also another possibility.

Maybe Tony did not intentionally search for Victor at all. If the Stones possess some form of cosmic awareness, perhaps they themselves showed Tony what was coming, forcing him to make one final decision before dying.

LANTERNS Episode 4 Breakdown — One of the most revealing moments in Episode 4 happens when the Guardian finally manages to contact John Stewart, because John does something completely unexpected: he lies about what is really happening in Rushville.

The Guardian had already been trying to reach John through his parents and even through a payphone. When she finally appears, she immediately tells John that she did not expect him to ignore her attempts to communicate.

That reaction matters because previous episodes established exactly why the Guardians chose John. They wanted someone disciplined enough to follow instructions without constantly questioning authority. John’s willingness to obey orders is one of the qualities that made him attractive as Hal Jordan’s replacement.

But John is beginning to change.

The Guardian asks why he is still in Nebraska, yet John deliberately avoids telling her about Antaan, the hidden Manhunter, or the investigation Hal is conducting. Instead, he gives her an excuse and keeps the real mission secret.

That is a major shift in John’s loyalty.

For perhaps the first time, John appears more loyal to Hal—his actual mentor—than to the Guardian who selected him for the Green Lantern role.

There may also be a much bigger reason for keeping the Manhunter investigation secret.

In DC lore, the Manhunters were originally created by the Guardians themselves as their first attempt at enforcing order across the universe. The machines eventually turned against organic life, forcing the Guardians to replace them with the Green Lantern Corps.

So if John told the Guardian that a Manhunter had resurfaced in Rushville, it could immediately attract her attention because the Manhunters are directly connected to one of the Guardians’ greatest failures.

Even more suspiciously, John’s conversation with the Guardian is later revealed to have been secretly recorded.

That means John is caught between three sides: Hal, the Guardians, and whoever is secretly watching Rushville.

And for the first time, he is choosing not to blindly tell the Guardians everything he knows.
