DAY 2!!! ❄️🥶 Finally hitting the ice and taking you through what goes on these challenging trips. The water was at a -2°C and we would do 15 mins each in pairs. Such an incredible experience that I’m excited to one day tell my future grandchildren about… for the meantime, kayo muna. 🤍

✅ Yes I would do it again.
✅ Yes my dry suit kept me dry and warm!
✅ We saw ice.

Not every diver would want to do this or has to do this — again it’s really not for everyone. Drysuit diving alone is another experience, too. But if you’re interested and want to know more, send me a message! 🩵

STORYTELLING TIME 🤍 Taking you through Day 1 of my ice diving trip in Hokkaido, Japan with Fourth Element SCUBA Studio 🥹🩵 This is my second time doing this incredible experience and yes, I would totally do it again.

Diving in a drysuit is great and I use it also to dive in tropical waters (Philippines) obviously without thermals. I was so disappointed about flooding my suit and ended up running barefoot in the snow because I didn’t have spare footwear. 😆😰

These trips aren’t glamorous, as you can see. I know so many divers that wouldn’t even want to do this and I get it! But I love it and treasure these chances I get to do extraordinary things.❄️

Enjoyed a beautiful sunrise trail hike at Masungi Georeserve in Rizal. After years of dreaming of visiting, I finally got the chance with Planet CORA and Rockwell Run Club for . We'll have a full video of the beautiful morning event out very soon but here's a short clip in the meantime! It was amazing to get to fly the drone out that morning and take lots of photos. 🎥

Masungi Georeserve, an internationally-awarded conservation area and rustic rock garden in the Philippines situated in the southern Sierra Madre range in Baras. It centers on the geological formations of Masungi Rock, at an elevation of 640 metres. The Masungi Georeserve Foundation together with its fierce Forest Rangers,are focused on forest restoration, long-term tree nurturing, support infrastructure, and mitigation of threats to forest growth (i.e. illegal logging, quarrying, treasure-hunting, grazing animals, kaingin). Up until today, despite recognition, public appreciation, and its contribution not only to Philippine tourism but also defense against climate-related disasters, the Masungi remains under threat and calls for everyone to raise their voices and help protect it.

This April 22 (Saturday), DENR NCR, LPPWP, and CORA and My OSEAN Mission are celebrating Earth Day 2023 and the 16th anniversary of the declaration of Las Piñas Parañaque Wetland Park as the first critical habitat of the Philippines (under Sec. 25 of Republic Act 9147 or Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act of 2001). We're inviting you to participate in our Earth Day Coastal Clean-up and Eco-Art Challenge! 🌱

🗿 The Eco Art Challenge is a sculpture-making contest using discarded or recyclable materials (preferably those retrieved from coastal cleanups). Entries should depict a bird commonly found in LPPWP (e.g., Black-winged Stilt or Black-crowned night heron) and must interpret the theme "Invest in Our Planet: Invest in Our Wetlands."

: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all 🚰🚽💧🌏

🚰 The six "outcome-oriented targets" include: Safe and affordable drinking water; end open defecation and provide access to sanitation, and hygiene, improve water quality, wastewater treatment and safe reuse, increase water-use efficiency and ensure freshwater supplies, implement IWRM, protect and restore water-related ecosystems.

🚰 Hosted USAID - US Agency for International Development Project’s conference for International Women’s Day and World Water Day. With the theme: : Accelerating Change through Women Partnership and Cooperation, we discussed gender issues and water security, as well as emerging best practices in gender mainstreaming in the water sector. During the event, we also awarded four women leaders in the water sector who have shown not only exemplary skill and care in their projects towards water security, but also continue to fight for inclusivity in the space: GM Glenda Hizoler, Dr. Ma. Ayessa B. Hugnatan, Ms. Marie June Castro, and Ms. Annilie Lagan. 🎖️

🚰 Without safely managed water, sanitation and hygiene services, women and girls are more vulnerable to abuse, attack and ill-health, affecting their ability to study, work and live in dignity.
