This recipe is too good not to share right away, in time for Thanksgiving!! If you are on a grain-free diet, you are going to love this Grain-Free Sourdough "Corn" Bread! There's no cornmeal at all, but it tastes just like cornbread! It would be perfect in a cornbread stuffing recipe for Thanksgiving.
Eventually, I plan to add this to the blog when I can get more pictures. But, for now, here's the recipe:
Ingredients
- 75g grain-free sourdough starter
- 85g plain yogurt
- 3 large eggs
- 30g honey
- 30g melted butter
- 168g almond flour
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 3g salt
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9 inch cake pan. Then line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper.
2. To a large bowl, add the starter, yogurt, eggs, honey, and melted butter. Whisk to combine. Then add the almond flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir to combine with a rubber spatula.
3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with an offset spatula.
4. Bake 25-30 minutes util golden brown.
