How to Survive the Writing Apocalypse was inspired by hundreds of independent and self-published novels and authors alike. The idea for the manual came at the request of an author who asked to see the notes author Tania L Ramos had written after weeks of research to make her second novel a better written one. After being reprimanded for making "rookie author" errors, she took it upon herself to di
scover how to fix these mistakes on her own, despite the advice of her publication adviser. She since shared countless pages of notes with friends and other authors who were pointed in her direction, seeking advice or any kind of help she could offer. After sending several uploads to one indie author, the idea was suggested that she put all her notes into a book. Tania ran with the idea and created a manual to help new authors, seasoned indie authors, indie editors, and beta readers. This manual is geared to "raise the bar" in the world of self-publishing, and to point out many errors authors make in the content and mechanics of their books.
