Theme: The first step toward intimacy with God
Scripture: James 4:8
I will be honest with you. There was a time when I talked about God more than I actually talked to Him. I knew the right things to say. I showed up in the right places. But deep down, if I am being real I was keeping Him at a comfortable distance.
Not because I did not love Him. But because intimacy requires honesty. And I was not ready to be fully seen.
Getting close to God is not about having the perfect quiet time or saying the right prayers. It is about deciding — even in your mess, even in your doubt, even in the middle of your most complicated season to take one step toward Him.
Just one step. That is all He asks.
And what I have learned is that He does not wait for you to get yourself together before He meets you. He meets you right there. In the reaching. In the wanting. In the simple decision to draw near.
If you have been keeping God at a distance lately whether out of guilt, busyness, or just life pulling you in every direction this is your gentle reminder. He is not far. He never was.
Take the step. He will do the rest.
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8
What does drawing near to God look like for you in this season? I would love to hear from you in the comments. 🤍

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:7
Can I be real with you for a second? Walking by faith is hard. Nobody really talks about how hard it is to keep trusting God when you cannot see what is ahead. When the path looks unclear. When the bridge is gone and the water beneath is rough and the peace you are praying for still feels out of reach.
I have been in that place. Standing at the edge of something broken, not knowing how to move forward, but knowing I could not go back to where I came from either.
Here are 3 things that helped me keep walking when I could not see:
1. I stopped waiting to feel ready. Faith is not a feeling. Some days I had to choose to trust God even when every emotion in me was screaming the opposite. I took one step. Then another.
2. I stayed honest with God. I did not pretend I was okay when I was not. I brought Him my doubt, my fear, my frustration. And somehow in that honesty, He met me every single time.
3. I held onto one promise. Just one. When everything felt uncertain I would come back to one scripture and just breathe. Some days that was all I had. And it was enough.
You do not need to have it all figured out. You just need to take the next step. He will meet you there.
“We walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7
Which one of these three do you need the most right now? Let me know below — I would love to pray with you. 🤍

Scripture: Joel 2:25

I want to be honest with you. Some of what I lost I lost because of me. My own choices. My own doubts. My own moments of walking away from what I knew was right. And for a long time I carried the weight of that. Quietly. Alone.

I did not think restoration was for someone like me. I thought that ship had sailed. That I had used up too much of God’s grace. That the years I wasted were just gone and I had to learn to live with the empty space they left behind.

But God has a way of stepping into the places we have already written off.

Slowly — not all at once, but slowly He began to restore things I had stopped believing could come back. Not because I deserved it. But because that is simply who He is. A God who restores. A God who rebuilds. A God who looks at everything the enemy stole and everything we handed over with our own hands and says I am not finished yet.

If you feel like it is too late for you, I just want to sit with you in that feeling for a moment and gently remind you it is not. His mercies are new every single morning. And He is a God of the comeback.

“I will restore the years the locust has eaten.” — Joel 2:25

What is one thing you are believing God to restore in your life? You can drop it in the comments or just hold it in your heart as a prayer. Either way I am believing with you. 🤍

We pray for the bridge to hold. We beg God for the blessing on the other side. But rarely do we pause long enough to ask ourselves, with a gentle and honest heart — could my own choices be the reason it’s falling? 😨

I have been there, I am there. Standing at the edge, looking at the peace God promised me, realizing that the very bridge He built for me began to crumble under the weight of my own decisions. Not because God failed me — but because I was not always faithful to the path He set before me.

God is not against you. He is for you. His plans for your life are soaked in goodness and purpose. But because He loves you too deeply to let you stay stuck, He allows the consequences of our choices to speak what our hearts sometimes refuse to hear. That is not punishment — that is a Father who refuses to give up on you.

Let this image be a quiet moment between you and Him. Not condemnation. Just an invitation for us to come back.🥰

“For the Lord disciplines the one He loves.” — Hebrews 12:6

❔Have you ever felt like you were the reason your own blessing was delayed?

One of the most obvious signs of death is the lack of love. 1 John 3:14 reminds us that when death rules in our hearts, love disappears. Yet, God is Love (1 John 4:8). This means that if we do not know God, we cannot truly know or express love.

Jesus taught us a profound truth: we cannot say that we love our neighbor if our hearts are filled with resentment, anger, or bitterness. True love cannot coexist with hatred. Wherever hatred takes root, spiritual death is revealed.

Therefore, every time we lack love, judge others, or hold onto wounds, it is a sign that death is still present within us. But where love lives, God is present; where love is expressed, spiritual life springs forth.

Let us allow God’s love to purify our hearts, to forgive, to bless, and to love sincerely. For love is life, and life comes from God. Wherever love reigns, death has no place.

Have a blessed week😉
