Hi! Graham here your resident HoK analyst.
Since patapos na ang regular season ng PKL, very crucial ang last week ng regular season dahil dito magkaka alaman kung sino ang dederecho sa playoffs, sino sa play-ins at sino ang maeeliminate.
Dahil jan, I analyzed the possible scenarios for each team lalo na yung mga di pa sure ang placing. hayaan nyong i lay out ko ang mga scenarios na to. Let's start with the obvious teams.
1. BLCK - Sure playoffs na kahit matalo pa nila yung last 2 series nila. worst possible placing nila is #2
2. FNSS, NMSS, ARCH- Already eliminated and no chance for Play-ins
3. JGE - Secured for play-ins pero no chance na for a playoff spot. Kahit mag tie sila ng BOOM talo pa din sila sa game differential
4. Battle for 2nd place (BOOM and TRND) - Both teams have 2 series left to play (BOOM - ARCH, TRND | TRND - BOOM, JGE). BOOM is almost secured a 2nd place pero there are scenarios na makaka 2nd ang TRND:
a. TRND wins all of their remaining series AND BOOM loses theirs
b. Both teams finished with 7-2 series score (BOOM splitting their remaining series and TRND winning both series) AND TRND do not lose more than 1 game AND BOOM won't win more than 1 game. in this case, papabor ang game differential sa TRND
In short, dropping 1 series sa side ng TRND will remove them from playoffs spot contestion. although both teams naman secured na for play-ins
5. Battle for the remaining 2 slots for play-ins - There are 3 teams na still in contest for the 2 slots for playins. FLSH, RWE, TNT. All 3 teams still have 2 series to play (FLSH = FNS, TNT | RWE = BLCK, ARCH | TNT = FLSH, NMSS).
RWE has the safest spot sa tatlo the only way na mawawala yung play-in spot nila is if matalo nila yung last 2 series nila. Realistically, possible 1-1 ang RWE for the last 2 games since makakalaban pa nila ang BLCK. even that pretty much safe pa din sila kasi maglalaro pang ang TNT vs FLSH.
TNT and FLSH ang mainit tlga. Whoever wins the match will most likely get the final spot for the play-ins.
There is still a possibility of a 3 way tie between these 3 teams. Pag ganun, game differential ang pag babasihan. Even with that, RWE still has an advantage and they would need to lose horribly dun sa last 2 games nila for them to lose their play-in slot. so it really depends on the TNT and FLSH match up.
