When the pressure’s up, the bite gets down.
High skies, high barometric pressure, and clear water meant it was finesse or forget it today. And the Bot Worm in Translucent Earthworm by NedWacky absolutely got it done.

That subtle profile and natural color were perfect in the bright conditions—looked just like a creek critter drifting by. And my KCustomFishingRod made all the difference in detecting those soft, sneaky bites. Would’ve missed a few without it.

It wasn’t a power bite kind of day, but the Bot Worm kept me in the game with some solid eats.
If you’re fishing in post-front conditions or under sunny skies, don’t overlook finesse. Sometimes subtle is the difference. 🎯

One of the most beautiful smallmouth I’ve ever come across.
I’ve never seen one this dark—almost like he was carved out of shadow. What really blew me away was the blueish tint under his mouth and along his gill plates… absolutely stunning.

Moments like this remind me why I love creek fishing so much. It’s not always about size—sometimes it’s about seeing something wild, raw, and perfect in its own way.

Today's creek adventure was all about adapting. 🌧️🎣

Tennessee just keeps getting hammered with rain lately, and that stained water definitely threw a curveball at the bite. But when the clarity’s low, it’s time to make some noise and move some water!

Spent the weekend putting the new Mad Max bait from NedWacky to the test—and man, it delivered. It’s wild to see a creative spark go from a napkin sketch to a fully finished bait—and now I’m fishing the production version right here in Tennessee creeks.

From big smallmouth to feisty little rock bass, this thing flat-out catches them all. The profile, movement, and bite-triggering action are dialed in. Big or small, they just can’t seem to resist.

Watching fish react to a bait born from an idea over breakfast? That’s about as full-circle as it gets.

Found this at the creek today — anyone know what it might be?

I’m thinking it could be a capstone for a bow drill. It has a smooth, rounded indentation that looks worn from use, like it might’ve held a spindle. I considered it being a small mortar, but it seems too compact and shallow for that purpose.

If you’ve got experience with primitive tools or artifacts, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Always fascinated by what shows up out here — drop your best guess below!
