🚨BREAKING: Orange County, North Carolina sheriff FIRES Detention Officer Brian Edwards after he declared himself "ANTIFA" and called for right-wing leaders to be executed by "guillotine."

Sheriff's office: "The investigation confirmed violations of both the Standards of Conduct and the Speech, Expression, and Social Networking sections of the policy manual. Sheriff Blackwood terminated Edwards’ employment accordingly."

A North Texas police officer was critically injured Saturday in what authorities are calling an ambush-style attack outside a Department of Homeland Security facility. According to initial reports, the officer was shot in the neck by a group of eight assailants wearing body armor.

In a separate incident today, a 27-year-old active shooter opened fire on U.S. Border Patrol agents in Texas. One law enforcement officer was reportedly wounded during the confrontation, and the suspect was shot and killed.

These back-to-back attacks have raised concerns among law enforcement advocates, some of whom point to increasingly polarized rhetoric around immigration policy as contributing to rising tensions and threats against officers.

Law enforcement agencies continue to investigate both incidents. No suspects have been publicly identified at this time.
