Smith Productions, is a film production and post production company focused on the development and production of documentary, adventure & exploration films in the worldwide theatrical, home entertainment, television and new media markets. The team at ARSP are paramedic trained, prior military and the company is known for shooting in 3rd World Countries, hostile territories and indigenous cultures.

SMITH PRODUCTIONS is over thirty years of experience in the film and television industry. Smith, is an award winning producer and director who started his career as a child actor at the age of 6, being involved in such films as Chinatown, Day of the Locust and They Only Kill Their Masters. Television productions include Gunsmoke, the Brady Bunch, Medical Center and The Alaskan Experience to name a few. Allan has filmed expeditions around the world, including the “Lost 49’er Expedition”. A 33 day, and over 300-mile expedition on foot in the dead of winter from Enterprise, Utah to Death Valley, California. Allan is a member of the legendary Explorers Club, and Past-President of the Los Angeles Adventurers' Club.

Sometimes it just feels right. After many many years I have decided to rebrand my company from DreamQuest Productions to Allan R. Smith Productions. Why the change, simply put, it felt right. Over the years many people have asked what DreamQuest is or means, this simplifies the process and as a writer, producer, videographer, my name represents the brand. We are still a film production and post production company focused on the development and production of documentary, adventure & exploration films and more.

Allan and his team have filmed expeditions around the world, from the jungles of Indonesia, Borneo to Death Valley, Kenya & Mt. Everest to name a few. Allan R. Smith is the Past Chapter-Chairman of the legendary Explorers Club, Southern California Chapter. Past-President of the Los Angeles Adventurers' Club, he holds membership in the Writers Guild, Producers Guild of America and International Documentary Association and Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA).
