Would you park in the dark on Spooklight Road? 🚗👻

For over a century, a mysterious glowing orb has haunted the Missouri-Oklahoma border—bouncing on car hoods, splitting in two, and vanishing into thin air.

Some say it’s the spirits of star-crossed lovers. Others claim it’s a decapitated chief. Scientists blame highway headlights... but locals saw it in the 1800s, long before cars existed.

On Old Hwy 213 in Higginsville, Missouri, local legend says a young woman who tragically lost her life in a car crash still haunts the roadside.
If you pull up directly under her light pole, the light shuts off. Drive away, and it turns back on. But some say if you sit there in the dark for too long... her ghostly figure will appear on the side of the road and walk right up to your car window.

Would you brave this drive at night? 🫣

🥀 She promised she would return, and death didn't stop her.

Athens State University's McCandless Hall is home to one of Alabama's most tragic ghosts.
In 1914, a young opera singer named Abigail Burns performed La Traviata for the auditorium's dedication. Leaving in a horse-drawn carriage during a brutal storm, the horses spooked, sending her plunging off a bridge to her death. Today, during the cold winter months, witnesses see her bathed in moonlight in the third-floor window, still wearing her white gown and clutching red roses.

And she isn't alone—students also report the strict Madame Childs haunting the halls to enforce curfew!

Think you know the story of The Exorcist Think again. 🫣👇

The legendary horror film was actually inspired by the real-life 1949 exorcism of a 13-year-old boy, Ronald Hunkeler (often called "Roland Doe").

While Hollywood added dramatic special effects like rotating heads and green vomit, the real-life account—detailed in the personal diary of Father Raymond Bishop—is just as chilling.

The actual ritual didn't happen in a spooky Georgetown house, but across ordinary locations in St. Louis, including a suburban home on Roanoke Drive, a church rectory, and a local hospital psych ward.
