I didn't stick to my updated social media plan last week. Life happened.
What happened was that my husband was working overtime to run a housing showcase on the National Mall. That meant that he generally wasn't around to help with our son who has severe autism. So not only was I spending more time with my son than usual, I was also using up more energy. Add in several nights of poor sleep (for various reasons) and me battling some sinus thing and all of my usual stuff (social media and otherwise) just wasn't going to happen. Something had to give and I refuse to run off fumes.
In terms of social media, I skipped out on posting a couple of Reels, I didn't really post any stories beyond what I had already planned and I didn't do much intentional engagement. I simply replied to comments on my content and on a few things that came across my feed when I scrolled.
Here's the thing about a social media plan - it's there to help you show up consistently, so if you stick to the plan most of the time, then a little bit of time away won't really affect your progress. The key to sticking to the plan most of the time is to make it doable. If you need help with a doable plan, dm me to learn more about The Social Growth Game Plan.
