Forty years ago today, two employees at the UNEEDA medical supply company unleashed a biochemical weapon, 2-4-5 Trioxin, in Louisville, Kentucky that caused the reanimation of corpses and a related mass casualty event.

At 5:01 am EST on July 4, the US Army deployed a containment protocol, effectively destroying 20 square blocks of Louisville and ending just under 4,000 lives. Never forget.
