✨𝐆𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬✨

📱 Last night, while I was at the mall, I noticed a woman who looked visibly worried and frantic. Without hesitation, I approached her and asked if she needed help. She explained that she had lost her phone and, being a tourist from overseas and alone, she had no one to assist her. I reassured her not to worry and suggested she retrace her steps, but her panic was overwhelming, and she was on the verge of tears.

📢 Realizing she needed more than just advice, I approached a store manager and asked if they could announce over the intercom in case anyone had found a lost phone. Initially, the manager explained that the lost and found office was closed and that they weren't responsible for personal belongings. However, they kindly agreed to make an announcement.

Fortunately, a store employee had found the phone, and I walked the woman to the lost and found area, as she was still too shaken to think clearly. I encouraged her to take deep breaths and reassured her that everything would be okay. When we arrived, the employee handed her the phone, and I could see the relief wash over her face. She was so grateful, she embraced me in a hug, thanking me not just for helping her recover her phone, but for being there with her in a moment of distress. 🌈

🥰 Helping her wasn’t an obligation, but it was a powerful reminder of how simple acts of kindness can make a profound difference. In that moment, I imagined myself in her shoes, feeling lost and scared in an unfamiliar place, and I realized how much it would mean to have someone offer a helping hand. When we step out of our way to assist others, especially in their time of need, we not only lighten their burden but also feel an inner sense of fulfillment. It’s in these moments that we experience true joy—by treating others with the compassion and care we’d want for ourselves. Helping others doesn’t just change their world, it changes ours too.

🌳 This bonsai tree is from 1737! Took the kids for a nature walk and discovered so many beautiful trees. It was great to smell fresh air and see all the greenery.. 🥰
