One of the first bands I was totally in love with, bought every single thing they put out in the 90s. Admittedly, I've followed different musical paths and interests since and didn't pay that much attention to their work in the 21st Century.

But so what! I'm still the 13 year old kid who heard Cult of Personality and couldn't get enough of this band. When they hit the Tiny Desk, I had to watch. And they are just as good as ever, although I wish the sound guy had worked the mics a little bit better. You can't hear Vernon when he's talking between songs.

Anyways, watch and enjoy a band that still has all the talent and magic you remember.

This week is a special episode of sorts, a holiday themed show. It's the Fourth of July, friends, so I've got a mix of tracks with very clear references to the day, random mentions of the month and season, and a fair amount of social critique. Not too corny, not too political - something for everyone.
