Hey, everyone. Drew here.
As you may or may not know, I’ve been the ring announcer for 247 Fighting Championships since its start a few years ago.
I always wanted to get our Albert Cameron (Albert Miller) back up to the area where we witnessed many a fight night and covered so many great events, Pittsburgh, PA. Unfortunately, it never materialized.
The past couple of months have been difficult for me. Albert was more than the host of Cage Nation TV to me…more than just a broadcast colleague. We were friends for nearly 20 years.
I met him when he was an intern for Magnum Broadcasting in June of 2026. From that moment on, he left an impression and a friendship was born.
From the road trips, to parties, and just hanging out watching WWE Pay Per Views, Albert was a wonderful friend. To those who knew him, they all say the same thing…he was a great guy. Funny, quick witted, talented, and a sweet person. He was truly one of a kind.
His knowledge of the sport of MMA was boundless, and he always wanted to help promote organizations in the hopes that the fans would come to their shows and support them. He was a promoter’s best friend, allowing Cage Nation TV to showcase their promotion, their talent and to talk about why MMA at the local and regional level was something to couldn’t afford to miss seeing.
So this past Saturday night at 247 Fighting Championships “MMA at The Venue 6”, it was only fitting that I gave him his flowers inside an MMA cage in an area that we traveled to time and time again to cover.
In every local MMA promotion looking to succeed…in every fighter who puts on the gloves and enters combat…in every kid who has a dream to broadcast, write, draw, act, or play music…Albert’s spirit and memory will live on.
Thanks for all you’ve done, Albert. You will be missed.
Love you, brother ❤️
