Introducing Multi Ultra, our Nashville Artist spotlight of the month.

Each bandmate was drawn to music at a young age, with lead singer Derrick and guitarist Nolan joining forces in early 2021 after a combined 16+ years of playing in bands. Combining Derrick’s brilliant songwriting abilities and Nolan’s obsession with classic rock and 1980s new wave, Multi Ultra’s new EP, “After a Thousand Miles” was made to solidify their identity and create a strong first impression

Their EP, “After a Thousand Miles” was released in May 2025.

“Nashville has seen many good (and bad) changes over the last decade. With the population continuing to explode, you unfortunately get more construction, traffic, overpriced parking, and competition. But perhaps just as many chances to meet collaborators, new friends, opportunities, and innovators. Nashville surely inspires me to grow along with it. What I like most is seeing the diversity of different scenes begin to rise, and the resilience of its diehard villagers. Most people I've met here still care deeply about preserving art and community -- in an age where we need to protect those things most. Underneath the spotlight of pop country, I'm glad to see a flourishing rock / alt / indie scene, as well as meeting more hip-hop, jazz, pop, DJ/electronic, & visual artists than ever before. Not to mention the hustle of thousands of others behind the scenes, like stagehands or booking agents who make showbiz possible.”
