You won't find these designs at big-box stores or on megacorp shelves. All of my fabrics start in my sketchbook with pen drawings of the little objects I want in the design. Then, I put them in the computer and clean them up. There's a process to take those drawings and make them into a design on the computer - but the longest part of the process is making the design repeat.

I really enjoy designing fabrics from scratch and I'm happy to share those designs on pot holders & towels!

This design hits home with a certain audience and I'm so glad it brings joy to them. Knowing that someone understands what it's like to be treated with distrust or indignance, followed up with, "I just don't get you," can make all the difference. It's a shared experience for a lot of us, especially in more rural areas.

I did another interview 🥰 It's called, "Empathy Unlocked: Understanding how to Develop Emotional Intelligence" with Bold Journey. One of the biggest takeaways I want you to have from this article is to have patience with yourself! Developing emotional intelligence takes time and the more you exercise your skills in tough situations, the better you become.
