Always a great time talking to Carolyn Murray WCBD TV about what people should expect when they come to the ER. The longer format allowed us to cover a multitude of topics. Although the worst day for patients, it is the everyday for those of us who work there. Chronic fatigue is a syndrome that has many different risk factors. Some patients that report this syndrome in the setting of a viral infection, such as Flu or Covid. Many of these patients have fatigue and body aches, but can also have depression, anxiety and other psychological complaints. We all know this is the season for viruses, such as Flu and RSV. From cough to congestion, there are many people who are sick and not feeling well. Patients come to the Emergency Department hoping to find an answer to what virus they have and what treatment they should receive.
