28日下午，全球可持续发展城市奖（上海奖）颁奖活动暨2023年世界城市日中国主场活动在上海世界会客厅拉开序幕。在活动现场，福州被授予首届全球可持续发展城市奖（上海奖），是全球5个被授予这一荣誉的城市之一。福建省委常委、福州市委书记林宝金出席活动，并代表福州领奖。
首届全球可持续发展城市奖（上海奖）是联合国人居署和上海市人民政府共同推动设立的国际奖项，用于表彰世界范围内在可持续发展方面取得突出进展的城市。
