A breakdown on today's Buffalo Bills Game.
The Buffalo Bills staged a massive comeback to defeat the New England Patriots today, 35-31, in Foxborough.
The win keeps the AFC East race alive for the Bills, while snapping the Patriots' 10-game winning streak. The Patriots came out dominating, jumping to a stunning 21-0 lead early in the second quarter behind a strong running game and rookie QB Drake Maye. The Bills looked completely out of sync, punting on most of their early drives.
However, the Bills' offense finally woke up just before halftime to cut the deficit to 24-7. The second half was a complete reversal: The Bills scored on five consecutive drives (four touchdowns and one field goal was added to the final score, but the drives were sequential scoring drives) in the second half to erase the 21-point deficit—tying their largest-ever road comeback.
The Bills took their first lead, 28-24, early in the fourth quarter.
The Patriots briefly recaptured the lead, 31-28, with a huge run from TreVeyon Henderson.
The Bills responded quickly with a touchdown drive to go up 35-31, and their defense got a critical stop on the Patriots' final drive to seal the victory.
