Hi all,

I am deleting my Funky Chap instagram account in a couple of weeks. (FYI, These thoughts are my own as a small funky artist and nothing to do with sunset grooves collective :)) Feel free to reach out to me on my SoundCloud page or drop me a message with your number to stay in touch, otherwise we shall see each other for a beer face to face soon.

i am done with this fake online world, trying so hard to impress people who don’t give a f**k about your every day life stories.

Hopefully the music scene can move away from the Instagram stories, reels and the constant yapping of this is s**t, my music is better, they don’t know how to DJ, etc. etc. and people follow artists for their music, their beautiful productions their dreamy mixtapes and NOT because they know how to color coordinate their outfits to the latest Instagram filter.

I know it is tough for fellow artists where DJing is their sole income and insta is like a business card, but I hope that we can move away from what the scene is like today. An algorithm doesn’t care about your music, nor the moments, the energy nor the connection between people.

If losing a 1000 followers means reconnecting with 10 people, here I come ! Anyways I’m not hating just slightly heartbroken by the music scene where so many real ones care (you know who you are). I hope I can influence and continue to support artists through channels that focus just on the quality of music, as well as dancing, living the moment when we will be together face to face and on a personal note looking forward to cutting out all the hours I’ve spent aimlessly on this app!

A few snaps from my time at the Olympics. The project I have been working on, is filming the extraction process of an injured athlete from different fields of play (open water, mountain, sand etc.) which is not always a simple process. The end result will be 8 videos of about 5 minutes each, that can be shared to future organizations/federations hosting sporting events, countries who lack resources and know how, and to facilitate the instruction to first responders/medical emergency teams.

The media will always focus on the political and controversy that goes on around the games, but if you dig past that, there is a lot of work being done to help push forward not only the industry of sport forward, but influencing other industries in a positive way. Whether it be through research on mental health, innovative ways of making a city more sustainable, and more … Feel free to drop me a message before making assumptions on certain topics you see floating around on social media :)
