Starting tomorrow on Channel 4, our latest project has been eight years in the making - The Real Serpent: Investigating a Serial Killer.

Charles Sobhraj known as “The Serpent” agrees to be interviewed on camera about a string of unsolved tourist murders in Asia, he is challenged by a team of experts who confront him about confessions he made in 1977.

David Howard & Rik Hall

David began his career as a documentary film maker at BBC Wales, where he directed a variety of acclaimed programmes. These included biographies of the singer Dorothy Squires, the actress Rachel Roberts and the writer Jean Rhys.

In recent years he has worked as a series director on a wide variety of programmes including Sea Patrol (Five), Chris Ryan’s Elite Police (Sky), Neighbourhood Blues (BBC), World’s Craziest Police Pursuits (Five), STOP! Roadworks Ahead (Five), Measuring Evil (AETN)

As a docu-drama specialist, Rik’s credits as a producer include Ten Ways To Kill Bin Laden (HISTORY), Samurai Back from the Dead (C4) and Kennedy’s Su***de Bomber (Smithsonian).

Both David and Rik have successfully produced and directed more well-known films and series such as: Murder by the Sea, Voice of a serial killer ( both CBS Reality), and Dark Son: The Hunt for a Serial Killer (BBC Four).
