It’s hard to believe, but another winter is nearly here. And that means now is the ideal time to start preparing for the chilly weather that lies ahead.

https://www.ilikecrochet.com/toc/magazine-december-2025/

Start by crocheting one of my favorite projects we’ve ever published: the Mocha Luxe Ruana. Featuring faux fur with deceptively easy construction, this cozy piece is destined to make a big statement this winter!

In the mood for some holiday fun? The Holiday Trio Bag charms are perfect for adding a touch of festivity to your purse or backpack and make quick and easy stocking stuffers.

Looking for more warmth? The Joyful Granny Tassel scarf is rich with color, is incredibly comfortable and its striking motifs make it the ideal companion to all your cold-weather festivities.

From more winter favorites like afghans, pillows and wraps to quick-and-easy stash busters like the Butter & Bordeaux Hair Bows, this December issue is packed with essentials you’ll adore crocheting.

Michael Sellick of The Crochet Crowd shares his tips for crocheting like a pro. His perspective might surprise you!

"It’s unrealistic to expect perfection but it’s realistic to watch yourself grow and learn from it. That’s the true joy of crochet anyway. For me, it’s about the stitching journey and rarely the ending point."

Can filet crochet keep you warm? It can with the Softly Set Diamonds Scarf, a cozy accessory worked using a revolutionary new method.

https://www.ilikecrochet.com/magazine/crochet-scarf-patterns/softly-set-diamonds-scarf/?t=78429

This technique, known as embedded crochet, joins two layers of fabric as you stitch—meaning you’re crocheting through both layers at once to create a double-thick scarf that’s perfect for the coldest days. The diamond motif adds eye-catching texture, and optional buttons help keep your scarf comfortably in place. Make this ultra-warm design your go-to outer layer all winter long.

Add filet crochet to your tablescape with the Greek Key Colorblock Runner, a striking design inspired by a motif rich in history.

Bold stripes frame the classic geometric pattern to really make the design pop. Easily customize the length by adding or removing sections to make the runner longer or shorter. You could even use the charted design to create coordinating placemats, doilies or even a valance.

Let’s celebrate the upcoming shift in seasons with brand new patterns created for cooler weather and warmer color palettes.

View the October issue here: https://www.ilikecrochet.com/toc/magazine-october-2025/

One of my favorite parts of this time of year is heading to my local pumpkin farm to create memories with my family, both familiar and new. This year will be extra special since my son is old enough to appreciate the wonder that is the autumn season. So if you’re like me, you’ll need to take stock of your current wardrobe, add a new handmade piece (or two) and freshen up your living space. Start by crocheting one of the most beautiful blankets I’ve ever seen: the Study of Blue Blanket that features a variety of texture-heavy stitches that begins with a circular motif and gradually transforms into a square blanket. The Rosewood Duster is another project you can’t miss! Its elegant beauty will pair perfectly with existing favorites already in your closet.

From a lacy bandana and new scarf to a gorgeous granny square dress (yes, a new crochet dress) there’s something for everyone to treasure inside this new issue.
