This gentle blind boy was surrendered into our care December 2021, suffering from a condition rarely seen in his species. His scrotum had swollen to a massive 40+ kilo burden that had come to drag painfully between his back legs. After a 4 hour specialist surgery, it was removed and he now spends his days grazing with friends and relaxing in the sunshine! 🐑☀️❤️ Rammie Baa Baa we love you! #tiktokforgood #tiktokpartner #animalrescuer #rescueanimals #farmsanctuary #friendsnotfood
Looking at Baarack today, it’s hard to believe that the gentle sheep was once hidden under over 35 kilos of burdensome wool. After surviving in a forest, it is kindness that found him, kindness that brought him to sanctuary, and kindness that will ensure he continues to live his best life. 🐑❤️ #tiktokforgood #tiktokpartner #animalrescuer #farmsanctuary #friendsnotfood #animalrescue #sheepshearing
Watch us shear 3 woolly sheep in under 20 seconds! 🐑🙌 These three sheep - Princeton, Yale, and Columbia - were in desperate need of a haircut when they arrived at Edgar's Mission last week. This timelapse video shows their baaa-ewe-tiful transformation from fluff to fabulous! 💁♀️ #farmsanctuary #animalrescue #rescueanimals #friendsnotfood #sheepoftiktok #sheepshearing #shearing #shear
Witness the heart-warming moment as Lucy is joyously reunited with her newborn calf, Karishma, following a difficult birth. 🖤 Initially, we believed that Lucy, an elderly dairy cow, would only be residing temporarily at Edgar’s Mission, as she already had a permanent home waiting for her. However, after discovering that she had a minor prolapse, we determined that it was in her best interest to remain at the sanctuary. Despite tests indicating that Lucy was not expecting, she surprised us by giving birth to a beautiful little calf last week. 🐮 Not long after giving birth, Lucy experienced difficulties in standing up. With the assistance of our tractor and the incredibly strong team, we were able to help both Lucy and her calf, named Karishma (which means “miracle” in Sanskrit). Their presence at the sanctuary has brought newfound hope and joy, reminding us that life is full of surprises, and sometimes the greatest miracles occur when we least expect them. ✨ #farmsanctuary #farmsanctuarylife #rescueanimals #animalrescue #animalrescuestory #friendsnotfood #friendsnotfood #cowsoftiktok #calf

Miss T came into our care earlier in 2021, she was born with congenital abnormalities, including a malformed leg and herniated stomach. This brave and resilient girl underwent a delicate surgery to repair her abdominal wall, remove her malformed leg and return the contents of her herniated stomach back where they belong. Since then, she has been healing, growing, and living her best life! ☀️ #farmsanctuary #rescueanimals #friendsnotfood #animalrescue #sheepoftiktok #dejavu
Can you believe that this cuddly sheep was once terrified of humans?! 🥺 On this National Doctors' Day, we celebrate our resident ‘doctor’, The Doctor, with his remarkable rescue video. Nearly 4 years ago this woolly sheep was living life on the run in rugged Australian bushland and had been for quite some time. When our rescue team found him he was in much need of a haircut and a whole lot of kindness! After arriving at our sanctuary, an incredible 21kg of fleece was shorn off him. Once terrified of human touch, he now enjoys cuddles and affection (on his terms of course). Such is the power of kindness! ❤️ #sheepoftiktok #sheepshearing #friendsnotfood

On Saturday night we took a call to assist a cow downed in a bog. 🐮 A mirky mire that had claimed her for at least a day. Claimed her and all of the strength that had run through her parasite-riddled and emaciated body. Making this picture of helplessness even more heart-wrenching was the sight of her wee and hungry calf who refused to leave her side. For an animal classed as a food-production animal, things rarely end well. And although we still do not know which way the tea leaves will fall on this one, we know this dear cow will be loved forever more. And therein we found the inspiration for her name, Cher, which means dearly loved. Something which she was the instant the kind-hearted Krysti from Rescue Rehabilitate Release came upon her whilst attending a routine wildlife call-out. Such a concern, too, for Cher’s well-being, was palpable the instant we drove through the gate to the paddock where she lay, for instead of the three or so Emergency Service volunteers we expected to see on hand to assist, there were at least a dozen. And so today, as we have worked tirelessly to get Cher back on those little black, not quite so muddy hooves of hers, we give thanks to the kind-hearted everywhere. ❤️ Our team, aided by our tractor, bought through donor funds, has lifted dear Cher up multiple times during the day, massaging those limbs, whilst this stoic little lady is giving us reasons for hope. Eating grass and hay that is slowly fuelling life into those once-lifeless limbs, whilst her bub, whom we have named Cherish, is never too far from view. At just over one year of age, what this hapless animal has been through is something no animal ever should. The irony of this, though, is that this tragic circumstance has secured a bright future for Cherish and could be the key to a long-lived and much-loved life for Cher. So for now, we are fighting the good fight, because that is what one does when those we dearly love are in trouble. Our sincere thanks to the vo
#onthisday Tim Tam arrived at Edgar’s Mission 4 years ago today, this is his incredible journey! 🐐❤️ Little Tim Tam, as determined as he was, was born unable to use his back legs. He was found dragging himself around a forest by kindhearted bushwalkers and brought into our care. From therein we set about assisting Tim Tam to fulfill his dream to walk! Today he has achieved this and so much more, walking into the hearts and minds of people all around the globe. 🌏 Thank you, Tim Tam, for reminding us that it’s not about how many times you fall down, but how many times you get back up. 🌟
Cedric, a young sheep who was likely facing backyard slaughter, fled for days in a off-leash dog park. 🐑 We heard of his plight and embarked on a rescue mission. It was challenging, as Cedric was wary of humans. After running across many steep hills, a dog (who was temporarily hard of hearing) helped us bring him to saftey. 🐕 Finally safe, Cedric is now thriving at the sanctuary, embracing companionship, kindness, and love. ❤️ #animalrescue #farmsanctuary #rescueanimals #friendsnotfood
