đźš« Red Fort is OFF-LIMITS for visitors right now! But why?
One of Delhi’s most iconic monuments has suddenly been closed to the public — and no, it’s not because of renovation, damage, or maintenance. 👀
Every year, Red Fort undergoes a complete security lockdown in preparation for India’s Independence Day celebrations. 🇮🇳 This is where the Prime Minister addresses the nation, the tricolour is hoisted, and the entire country tunes in.
That means, from mid-July till August 15, tourists, content creators, and history lovers won’t be allowed inside.
📌 Don’t worry though — Delhi is still full of incredible places to visit this season:
✨ Humayun’s Tomb
✨ Safdarjung Tomb
✨ Purana Qila
✨ Mehrauli Archaeological Park
✨ Agrasen ki Baoli
… and so much more!
📍 Red Fort reopens on August 16, 2025. So mark your calendar if it’s on your bucket list!
