Psalm 119:11-16 KJV
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, That I MIGHT NOT [no might, no ability because my flesh is submitted to the power of Your Word], sin against thee. Blessed art thou, O LORD: Teach me thy statutes. With my lips have I declared All the judgments of thy mouth.

When we hide the Word of God in our hearts, think of digging a hole, and tucking away a secret treasure, a pearl of a great price, covering it up and keeping a map of where to find it later.

We recognize the value of the Word. We hold out close to ourselves and put our in a place for safe keeping... we embrace it and guard it with ask if our heart... because the Word IS LIFE ITSELF.

Guard your hearts for from it flows the wellspring of LIFE. They Word have I hid IN MY HEART. Yes the heart is deceitful and wicked... but not when you are redeemed. He took my heart of stone and gave me a heart of flesh! We have been made alive in Christ Jesus, a NEW creation! The first organ to form in our human bodies as a fetus, is our hearts!! We have been regenerated! Where there WAS death, NOW there is LIFE, so I must GUARD MY HEART... guard with what? My shield of faith. Cover my heart with the shield of faith.

Ready for the Next Chapter

This page began as “self therapy” for me. I needed a place to think out loud and encourage myself in my walk with the Lord. It’s been almost TWO YEARS and I feel that I’m comfortably ready to reach out beyond my own screen and connect with other ladies and create my own “tribe”, if you will. I’m willing, for whatever GOD is willing. Here’s to glorious days ahead!
