📍Linn of Quoich, The Punchbowl 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This natural bowl shaped cavity in the Mar Lodge estate is definitely one to add to your list! 😍

It is said that Earls of the nearby lands would drink from the once whole ceremonial punchbowl after successful hunting expeditions! 🥃🦌

The area was a favourite of Queen Victoria and the Picnic cottage visited by her has now been saved by the National Trust. It will be open to visitors in early 2025! 😊

The walk to the Punchbowl itself isn’t far from the carpark which has around 15 spaces and can be quite busy in the summer months. ☀️

There are plenty of walking routes on the Mar Lodge estate that you could do to extend the walk. With the Linn of Dee carpark on the same road 🥾

📍Loch Kinord circuit, Muir of Dinnet and the Burn O’ Vat. Aberdeenshire 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🍂🥾

Very lucky with the weather for this walk ☀️🍁. With an easy 4 mile loop around the loch, this is the perfect autumnal walk!

This area is rich with wildlife, history and various trails to explore. Let me know if you’ve been here before!!
